Hi guys!! As I had wrote previously about career options in fashion sector, today’s discussion will be all about fashion designing. Fashion designing is the most choosed career option in the fashion sector. Mostly girls opt choosing fashion designing as a career after class 10th. And it’s obvious that one who is good in drawings or loves the fashion world can choose this as a career.
Fashion designing mainly consists of designing garments with new patterns, new styles, new color combinations and many more. Designers are out of box thinkers. They come up with new styles everyone and surprise everyone. This is an evergreen career as everyday something new always comes.
I have read somewhere that, famous designer Ritu Kumar has no specialised training in fashion designing. She was fond of drawing dresses. Her friends loved her dresses, so she got them ready by a tailor. Even Natasha Dalal ha s worked under professional designers and today she owns her own label with a huge collection of lehengas. We cannot forget Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anita Dongre, Anushree Reddy,etc. who have been continuously surprising us.
Famous brands of the modern world are Zara, Stylecracker, Grazia, Kalki Fashion,etc. Sothis field has promoted a lot of people.
The steps to become a fashion designer are:
Complete a degree program
Sharpen skills with hands-on experience
Learn the business of fashion
Put together a portfolio
Keep up with the trends
